Promotion of Pe ace through interreligious Peace Rally
In order to commemorate the International Day of peace (September 21) and to facilitate the promotion of peace in the Locality,
FAsCE India organized an inter-religious peace rally on October 4, 2015 at Satgaon in collaboration with Local Administration,
Fransalian Youth Mission (FYM) and other like-minded local NGOs. Around 250 people, representing various religious groups,
namely Hindus, Muslims and Christians, participated in the event professing to promote communal harmony in the locality.
The O.C of the local Police Station called all religious faiths for peaceful co-existence, and appealed for respect for each
faith and a life of brotherhood.It took off from Government Higher Secondary School Satgaon to St. Francis de Sales Higher
Secondary School Narengi, via Patharquary traffic point, covering around two kilometers of distance.The interreligious peace
rally was concluded at SFS School campus. Mr. Hemanta Neog ACP, Noonmati Police Station appreciated the initiative taken by
FAsCE India inpromoting peace and harmony in the area, though a small step, but in a very significant way.
